Urban greening for heat-resilient neighbourhoods

This Challenge aims to craft an approach for adapting neighbourhoods to extreme heat in a fair and equitable way, one that is driven by the best scholarly evidence yet embeds residents’ own experiences of urban nature and weather extremes into planning and decision-making. It will develop a portable methodology that involves residents and neighbourhoods in identifying the research and action priorities to address heat risk and green space in their localities, which can be rolled out across different contexts in response to transdisciplinary research funding opportunities.
