357 - Developing a framework for a tool to measure progress towards Regenerative Heritage Greenspace

What this challenge is about

The lack of a clear roadmap for developing ‘good’, sustainable places to live and work. How do we regenerate large estates in order to achieve the best balance between sometimes competing factors? Net zero carbon emissions, but also community needs, wellbeing, biodiversity and heritage management (as below). Discussions with other UK heritage estates and parks around the challenges have led to an agreement that just meeting net zero and biodiversity targets is too narrow an ambition. There is a real need among estates custodians and developers for a broad framework/toolkit to guide practice/ streategy/ investments into the best forms of re-development.
