CPD for development professionals

The OU has produced a lot of short courses for international development NGOs and donors, including UNICEF, FCDO, Oxfam, Christian Aid, and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy. Most courses are produced using a range of OU academics (central and ALs) across multiple departments, sometimes external consultants, and usually in collaboration with the client/funder. We have never formally assessed impact, but we know that the organisations we work with have used the courses extensively which means the reach is great. It is likely that the impact on international development practice will be significant and not something that many other UK HEIs can claim to do. We have good connections with these organisations so gathering impact evidence would not be too hard. For these reasons it is worth considering as an ICS.
